Jesse cracked the window open; with his cellphone lodged firmly in his back pocket he climbed out and shut it behind him, gripping onto the ivy clad wall with his Vans'. He barely had enough time to drop before the back porch light went on. Clinging to the dark side of the porch, he waited until his Dad locked the porch door before belting towards the side of the house, where the gate would be winched open thanks to his old skateboard.
He raced to the sidewalk with his board in hand, and ran as quietly and as quickly as he could towards the park.
~*~*~*~
"Night Dad!"
"Night, Tessa."
Tessa waited for her father's door to click shut; once it shut with a slight click, Tessa hurried to her door and locked it. Her dad knew she liked sleeping with her door locked, so it proved to be his downfall when he didn't check up on her during the night. Tessa shrugged on a light baggy sweater and hurried to her window. Opening it, she climbed out and landed on the roof. Crawling to the storm drains on the side of the house, she scaled the storm drains and began to head towards the park, which was thankfully only a few minutes away from her place. Upon reaching the park, she grinned at Jesse, who stood with his skateboard tucked under his arm.
"Jess!"
He turned around and grinned at her.
"Tess!"
Jesse and Tessa were very close friends; some even speculated they dated back in grade nine. Who knows?

Dallas Eaton , 16 , male.

It was easier sneaking out when you lived on the streets. Street rat and orphan Dallas Eaton left the alleyway he hid in for the last hour and headed for the park, an old, half smoked cigarette in his mouth. Drawing a breath and holding it, he paused as a car - most noticably a police car - trailed by, with a spotlight hooked on top. They rarely carted in street rats, but Dallas wasn't going to take the chance. As the spotlight passed him, he released the smoke filled breath he had been holding, and began jogging towards the park. Once he was in sight - without a single cop car on his tail - he saw Jesse and Tessa, two of the 'regulars' out. "What's good, kids?" Dallas called softly to them, smiling.

"Dallas!" Tessa whispered fiercely, running at the street rat and wrapping her arms around him. Jesse put his board on the ground and approached Dallas as well, extending a hand out once Tessa had let him go. "Hey, Dallas. Where is everyone?" Jesse asked the other male, slightly jealous that he hadn't gotten a hug from Tess when he saw her. "I hope the cops didn't grab them," Tessa whispered.

mind if i cut in? x3 April , 16 , female [8EE5EE] Aaron , 18 , male [93DB70]
April was never one to follow the rules anyway. Especially if those rules were set by her parents. As soon as she got the text to meet up, she let a devious grin show as she glanced one final time back at her bedroom door located on the second story of the house she lived. Quickly finding the escape-latter rope she 'borrowed' from her big bro's room next door, she took off out the window, making sure not to fall on the way- splat "SON OF A- oh!" she began, but stopped when she realized she probably shouldn't scream if she was trying to be quiet! So as soon as she got her footing and arm tangled out of the bush she landed in, she ran off toward the park, living quite close by thankfully. "Hey weird-o's, leave the hugging for prom-night! I still want to retain my dinner!" She greeted jokingly, elbowing Jess in the side as she came up.
---
Aaron had never been a light sleeper, and so when he heard a the crash from down-stairs he woke with a start. Ears like a hawk, he always said. As he sleepily came over to see what had happened to wake him from his slumber, Aaron gasped when he saw his little sister sneaking out, and past her curfew! But still, sneaking out!? Being the goody-two shoes that he was, Aaron decided it best to go after her before their parents found out or worse happen to her. "Why wasn't I an only child?" He mumbled, before quickly and quietly escaping the house (through the front door, which was faster and easier than the latter!), and desperately followed in the direction he saw the figure of his sister last heading. The park no doubt, but he'd find out soon enough when he caught up.

- - - - - Dallas shrugged at the question, releasing Tessa. "They're probably sleeping; those poor fuckers and their parents," Dallas muttered with a smile as he took another drag of his cigarette before a voice from behind him called out. "Hey weird-o's, leave the hugging for prom-night! I still want to retain my dinner!" Dallas took the cigarette from his mouth and grinned at April as she approached them. "Look who's joined the club. Glad to see someone's not sleeping through their alarm." Dallas jeered playfully at April.

Darrell Mark, 35 (the STRANGE man)
He couldn’t understand why it bothered him so much. Why did these children feel the need to sneak out totally unguarded and unprotected and in the middle of the night? What were they going to do, rob a bank (jajaja)? This wasn’t the first time that he heard his neighbor’s children crawling out of their bedroom windows and scaling down their house. If he could hear it from the next door how were their parents so clueless? Perhaps out of curiosity more than anything else, he’d dressed this evening just as he heard their giggles and slipped out of his house quietly afterwards, following their every movement from two blocks away.

[Jesse - cccc44 | Tessa - cc4444]
Jesse grunted when an elbow found his side, and immediately turned to see that April was there. He elbowed her back, scowling lightly at her. "I'm sore enough, April, I don't need your elbow adding more." Of course, he wasn't really sore. He just liked to complain. He glanced at Dallas as he spoke to April, then he looked back at Tessa, who was sheepishly grinning at the three of them. "What'chu grinnin' at, Tess?" Jesse asked her, shaking his head. Tessa turned her attention from April and Dallas to look at Jesse. "Nothing. What are we going to get up to tonight?"

April [8EE5EE] Aaron [93DB70]
April scoffed shortly, but grinned at Dallas, "I wouldn't miss some harmless fun in the park with a bunch of teens for nothing!" She turned to look at Jesse and only nudged him further, if not harder, after his lame complaint. "Oh grow a pair Jess." She merely laughed, just happy to be out in the nice weather that night.
"Get up to? What are we robbing a bank?" April wondered aloud, eyes twinkling, "Because, if that's the case- I'm so in." Of course, she was joking, but she had watched enough CSI to do the job right, without being caught- of course.
--- Aaron had to give his sister credit- she sure knew how to get away fast. That was either a good or bad thing, and depending on who you asked- that was a bad thing. He sighed, wondering why he puts up with it all when suddenly he saw another figure in the distance- a much taller one, so it couldn't have been April. "Uh oh." He muttered, ducking behind a tree when he felt like the man was about to turn around and spot him. Who was that? And why was he out this late? They were only about a block away from the park, and this gave Aaron a sinking feeling- was this guy following his sister too?
Due to clumsiness, Aaron ended up snapping a twig in his edginess to stay hidden, which ultimately contradicted that whole plan, making the older teen tense up straight against the trunk. Seconds later, he peeked ever so slightly out to see where the stranger was now.

"A bunch of teens, hmm? Even if the cops are out tonight?" Dallas asked her, raising an eyebrow at her. If April was around, so was her older brother. Dallas didn't do well with older guys; of course it was the street smarts that was telling him not to befriend him - he was older and stronger in his mind, and thus made Dallas a target should Aaron turn to dislike him. Dallas drew the cancer stick to his lips and took a short drag, blowing it up away from the small group. "I dunno what we're doing, cos I dunno who else is gunna show their sorry faces." Dallas turned to April. "Where's your brother? Doesnt he usually tag along to babysit you?" Dallas teased her, smirking.
